Collectibles
Bookaholic with a weekly blog, aptly named Bookaholic.
WHICH BOOKS INCREASE IN VALUE OVER TIME? Many of these collectibles will continue to rise in value, some will be lost to history. Which is which? that is the question. Good (but not sure) bets: first appearance in print, limited editions, signed by author, old (not just any old) book, first edition and first printing, fragile books, some coffeetable books, enterprising publishers. Check comparative pricing, negotiate (if permitted). Collectible prices are market-driven. Another tactic: offer a swap. Most sellers are also buyers.
